Are you trying to find the best seats for KA by Cirque du Soleil? Or perhaps you’d like to see the views from the various seating sections. Well, then, this article is for you!

I’m a Vegas local, and I saw KA in February. While there, I sat in several chairs and took photos of the sightlines inside the theater. And I’ve included all of them for you below.

At the end of this post, I’ll also share my recommendations on which tickets are worth the money. And which ones to avoid. So if you need help picking out a good location, keep reading!

About The Theater

The KÀ Theatre at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is huge! There are six sections, and with over 1,950 tickets to choose from, where you sit makes a big difference.

But it’s about more than just how far you are from the stage. Instead, some locations will make you feel like you’re in the production, while others might distract you.

So before you buy, here are three things I noticed about the seats you may want to consider.

Distance

KA is a unique Cirque show in that most of the performance occurs on a 25×50 foot moveable platform. This is called the Sand Cliff Deck. And when it’s extended vertically, everyone will have a great view of it, regardless of location.

But even though the platform is large, it’s hard to see the artists well if you’re sitting in the back. And if you sit too close, like in the first few rows, you won’t get the full effect of the deck either.

Action

Some of the production takes place in the aisles and high above the crowd. So you’ll have excellent sight lines if you’re sitting in 101, 102, and 103. And it’ll also feel like you’re part of the show.

When I saw KA, the artists were in the inner aisles of these sections, with the aerial performances taking place over rows A through J.

There were times, though, when the cast was on the footbridges along the sides of the theater. Although this only lasts a few minutes, the performances here are best seen from rows J and higher. Otherwise, you’ll have to turn around to watch.

Angle

If you’re sitting on the right and left sides, you’ll likely see the lift system for the Sand Cliff Deck. I sat in 101, and the machinery wasn’t that noticeable, but it did capture my attention a few times.

So if you want to be fully immersed in the story, choose seats in the center of the venue instead.

KA Seating Chart

There are six seating sections in the theater. The areas closest to the stage are 101, 102, and 103. And then, behind those are 201, 202, and 203.

A wide walkway separates the front from the back. So the rear area isn’t on a different level, which is great because everyone gets to be in the ‘main room.’

Best Places To Sit For KÀ

After a tour of the theater and seeing the show, these are the locations I think are best for seeing Ka:

  • Anywhere in 102 from Rows D to R. Tickets in these rows are Category A (Golden Circle) or Category B.
  • Rows E to M in 101 and 103, but get seats near the inner aisles. (You want to be as close to 102 as possible, so you’ll have a more central vantage point.) Look for Category B in these zones.
GET KA TICKETS

Here’s why I think these seats are the best:

I sat in 101, Row J, and loved it. And that’s because part of the show took place over my head. So it felt like I was in the production.

If you go too far back, you’ll still have a view of the aerialists, but you won’t see them up close as they fly overhead. So the ones I’ve recommended will give you a fantastic line of vision to the stage and these incredible feats.

But if you don’t like those options, my next choice is 202, anywhere from Row AA to FF. I wouldn’t go further back than that because seeing the artists on the Sand Cliff Deck will be more difficult.

MGM KA Theater Seating Views

While at the Las Vegas show, I took photos from various locations in the six seating sections. And I also got some pictures of the sightlines from the Royal VIP Experience and Golden Circle.

These photos will give you a better idea of the views you can expect. But please remember that the distance from the stage may feel different in real life.

Section 101

Section 101 is on the left side in the front area of the theater, so the seats here are at an angle. But if you get show tickets close to the aisle (between 101 and 102), you’ll have more of a central sightline.

Here’s the view of the stage from the back of 101 in Row R:

Picture of section 101 row R

And here’s the view from my seat (Section 101, Row J, 12):

ka view from my seat in 101 row J

Section 102

Section 102 is close to the stage and in the center of the theatre. This area is also home to the Golden Circle seating, which offers exceptional lines of sight.

Although 102 is in the middle, it’s still large, with over 400 chairs. So if you’re on the sides here, it won’t be a perfectly straight-on view, but still excellent nonetheless.

In this photo, you can see the eye-line to the stage from the back of 102:

And here’s a photo I took from the right side of Section 102, Row Q:

KÀ Golden Circle Tickets

Golden Circle seats are in 102, rows G-M. The lines of sight from here are fantastic. They’re at just the right distance from the stage. And again, this category is one of my recommendations for the KA by Cirque du Soleil show.

GOLDEN CIRCLE TICKETS

Here’s an example of a Golden Circle View (102, Row K, 8):

Section 103

Section 103 is on the right side in the front area of the venue. Like 101, the sight line to the stage is at an angle.

Here’s the vantage point from 103, Row Q, 5:

And I took this photo from the outer aisle of 103, Row J:

Section 201

Section 201 is directly behind 101 in the back area of the venue.

This picture shows the perspective from 201, Row FF, at approximately seat number 7:

And here’s the view from Row MM of 201:

Section 202

202 is in the back middle of the venue, and it’s the largest, with over 425 chairs.

From this area, most of the seats have a straight-on view. The first few rows here are all fantastic. But, for me, the chairs in the back felt very far away.

For example, the following picture is from 202, Row NN:

KÀ Royal VIP Experience Seating

The KA Royal VIP seats are the most expensive option. These chairs are in Section 202, Row AA, 1-15. They’re ideal because they sit above the walkway, giving you a clear view of the stage. And you’ll be in the center of the theater, too.

But even though these are in an excellent location, you’re also paying for some extras. For instance, with VIP, you’ll get early access, an artist meet and greet, a backstage tour, and more.

Section 203

The last area in the KÀ theatre is 203. This zone is behind 103, on the right side.

FAQ

Here are three of the most asked questions about seats at KÀ.

Are There Bad Seats At Ka In Vegas?

Yes, there are KA seating options that I don’t recommend. For instance, some are too far over on the sides, so the viewing angle isn’t good. And then others are too far away to enjoy the experience fully.

There are also some seats in the front of the theatre that are too close to the stage.

So, if your budget allows, I would NOT get the following:

  • 101, B-D
  • 103, B-D
  • Last four rows of 201 & 203
  • Back two rows of 202
  • 201, EE, 1-4
  • 201, GG & HH, 1-6
  • 201, JJ, 1-7
  • 203, EE, 27-30
  • 203, FF, 28-31
  • 203, GG, 25-30
  • 203, HH, 20-25

But the good news is that there aren’t handrails blocking any sight lines – like with some O Cirque du Soleil seats.

What Are The Chairs Like?

All of the show seating is the same. And the chairs are very comfortable too! So no matter where you sit, it will look like this:

Ka Las Vegas seating

The rows are also elevated, so the people ahead of you won’t entirely block your field of vision. But, because of the plushness of the seats, I sank a little in my chair, which caused a few heads to be in my lower sightline.

Ask for a booster seat if you’re bringing young children, as it may be hard for them to see without one. When I went, the ushers handed them out before the show started.

What Are Producer Seats At Ka Cirque du Soleil?

Kà Producer Seats offer an outstanding combination of lighting, sound, sightline, and location. They’re next to the Royal VIP experience at numbers 16-32 in Row AA of 202.

Depending on demand, tickets in the middle of the row (16-20) are often priced higher than 21-32.

With a Producer ticket, you’ll be above the main walkway, giving you an unobstructed view of the stage. From here, you’ll see all the action when the performers are in the aisles. And also when they’re on the footbridges along the sides of the room.

These are the second most expensive option after VIP. Most nights, prices start around $200 per person, considerably less than the Royal experience. So if you don’t need the VIP extras, these are a better value.

Conclusion

Because of the venue’s sheer size, your location in the theater makes a difference. You’ll have a much better experience sitting closer to the stage.

There are also a ton of incredible fight scenes on the Sand Cliff Deck. The artists’ physical movements are often small but impressive during the battles.

Unfortunately, you won’t have a good view of this if you’re too far back. And it’ll be more challenging to follow along with the storyline.

So if it’s within budget, I recommend getting tickets in Categories A, B, or C. But if you can get Golden Circle tickets in 102, get those. Because I think they are great seats for Ka Cirque du Soleil at MGM Grand!
